The designer item had been given an estimate of just £14,820 — but fetched ten times that at the weekend.

It was part of an auction of hundreds of items belonging to the troubled singer.

Others up for grabs included the bamboo-design mini-dress which she wore for her final concert performance, in Belgrade, in June 2011.

Her tour was cancelled soon after and she died the following month, aged 27.

Amy’s stylist and friend Naomi Parry who designed the dress said: “I feel an immense amount of sadness when I look at that dress.

“It was supposed to be the start of something new and moving forward. She had been doing so well.”

The dress was due to be sold by Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles late last night.

Two pairs of stained ballet slippers, which Amy was photographed wearing while out with husband Blake Fielder-Civil, were estimated to sell for £444 but made £14,224.

A floral gold Dolce & Gabbana dress, which she wore on stage in Blackpool in 2007, sold for £111,130.

The entire collection, which has been sold by her family, will be on show at the Amy: Beyond The Stage exhibition at London’s Design Museum from November 26.

They will then be sent to the winning bidders when the exhibition ends in April.

Proceeds from the auction will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps young people battling addiction.
